    Dannhauser Local Municipality (KZ 254) is a Local Municipality situated in Northern KZN incorporating Hattingspruit and Durnacol with its seat at Dannhauser invites suitably qualified candidates to apply for the following position:

    DEPARTMENT : CORPORATE SERVICES

    VACANCY : ADMINISTRATION AND HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER

    ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

    * Three year National Diploma: Human Resources or equivalent field
    * Two years experience in Local Government

    ACADEMIC AND OTHER PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

     B - Tech or four year Degree : Human Resources
     Maturity, analytical ability and integrity;
     Ability to meet deadlines and working under pressure;
     Willingness to work long hours at times;
     Computer literacy (Microsoft windows XP, Spreadsheet and Internet, etcetera)

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    The successful candidate will be required to perform, inter alia, the following duties:

    • Coordinating the implementation of procedures, systems and controls related to the receiving, updating and recording of transactions/operational information and activities associated with the section
    • Collating information and/or conducting investigations to establish facts for inclusion into responses to internal/external communications (e – mails, letters)
    • Mapping out current and future Human Resources requirements taking into consideration compliance levels, and, within the organisation
    • Drafting immediate result indicators to address human resource needs and interventions for key functional areas within the organisation in accordance with the main collective agreements concluded at South African Local Government Bargaining Council.

    REMUNERATION

    Salary level 8 (R108 017.91.00 per annum) of a Grade 2 Local municipality.
